Mission Statement
We help young people to get to know, understand, live and pass on the faith of the Catholic Church with joy. Through shared learning, global networking and active participation in books, digital media and catechetical programs, we empower them to act as missionaries in their communities.

How do we do this?
1. participatory communication of faith
YOUCAT was developed by young people for young people. The participatory approach – actively involving young people in the design of publications and activities – is central.
2. official church anchoring and fidelity to the teachings
YOUCAT is guided by the official magisterium of the Catholic Church. Its most important publications are recognized by the Church.
3. innovative and appealing design
YOUCAT combines the communication of clear theological content with a joyful, humorous, youth-oriented, creative presentation – using pictures, cartoons and modern language.
4. global networking
YOUCAT not only works locally, but also internationally. Networking and sharing faith are essential.
5. old and new instruments for sharing faith
In addition to print media, YOUCAT also relies on digital formats, apps, social media and interactive platforms (e.g. forums).
What is the goal?
That young Catholics joyfully live the faith and proclaim it in their surroundings through deeds and words.
